Socialize, eat, drink, and shop with your friends, neighbors, teachers, staff, and fellow Buckman parents. Bid on unique items and packages in the silent and live auctions. It’s a fun evening out on the town to support our beloved Buckman Arts Focus Elementary School! This year we are at Bodyvox Dance Center in NW Portland. http://bodyvox.com/ Buckman does not receive any additional funds from Portland Public Schools to pay for the Arts positions that allow for the inspired arts-integrated education all kids receive at Buckman. Current and anticipated statewide budget cuts along with mandated district requirements put Buckman in the unsettling position of reducing our Arts team unless we raise $150,000 for the Buckman Foundation. We need your help to ensure this award-winning program continues. It's going to be a great time and we hope to raise a lot of money to help save our arts staff at Buckman. Please attend and be sure to invite friends, family, and arts and education supporters! ***SUN staff will be offering a childcare ART NIGHT fundraiser during the Buckman auction. Childcare will be offered at Hinson Baptist Church (1137 SE 20th Ave) from 5:30-10:30pm on Friday, February 24. Watch for more information in the front foyer or SUN registration form kiosk.
